About Yeti New Zealand

Yeti New Zealand is part of Black Seal , a company focused on bringing the best MTB brands to New Zealanders. We aim to become a truly sustainable (ecologically, socially and financially) business. We also hope to share our love of cycling and inspire people to ride bikes more often.

Founder, Kashi Leuchs, spent 12 years racing pro XC around the world, before returning to his home town of Dunedin NZ. He started the company as a way to continue his passion for the sport and to add a new exciting challenge.

Yeti Cycles is a legendary American brand, with its origins in the beginning of the sport way back in 1985. These days they are enjoying world wide success thanks to thier innovative designs and rider focused approach to building bikes.

Black Seal also distributes Urge Helmets and Brake Authority products, both from France. These two brands are both leaders in developing more sustainable, high quality products.

We currently have three staff. Kashi takes care of marketing and sales. Mel is our office/warehouse manager and Tom is responsible for all community projects (sponsorship, events etc)

Our showroom hours are between 9-2pm Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. Someone maybe there during other times and if you call and let us know you are coming, we would normally be happy to come down and meet you.
